Service & Leadership

Service

As a K-12 practitioner, I gave of myself by organizing and providing professional learning opportunities for fellow educators who were not as technologically literate or comfortable as they wished to be, for themselves or for their students.

As a doctoral student, one way I can continue to serve is through similarly supporting the teaching community with technology integration support outside of the formal role of instructing in a teacher education program.

One way I aim to evolve in my service is in explicitly supporting white pre-service teachers to be better prepared to serve their students by tackling the often unstated roles of white supremacy, white privilege, systemic racism, and anti-blackness.
